Soft water for house and finca
Water in Mallorca is hard. Lime builds up in pipes, boilers, coffee machines and shower heads, and you can taste it. Reverse osmosis systems solve the problem at the source: at the mains connection or directly at the finca well.
How reverse osmosis works
Pre-filtration
Sediment and activated carbon retain particles, chlorine and turbidity and protect the membrane.
Membrane
Under pressure only water passes the semi-permeable membrane. Lime, salts, nitrate and heavy metals stay behind.
Remineralisation
On request the pure water is enriched with minerals again, balanced for taste and for the pipes.
Distribution
A storage tank with pressure pump supplies the whole house, or just the kitchen and bathrooms.
